For 5000 years Delhi has been under various rulers and influences and has been known by many names- Indraprastha, Tughlakabad, Siri are some of them. All these have given this city its vast and varied culture which makes it a home for people for any religion or culture. The history of Delhi is still alive in all its monuments and the old markets. Delhi has also been main centre of India’s struggle for independence.
