One of the most well planned and designed temple Akshardham on the banks of the Yamuna is the largest comprehensive temple of the Hindus in the world. Situated in east Delhi it is made up of entirely marble and sandstone which adds to its aesthetic value for the devotees. The main monument at the core is intricately carved with deities, flora and fauna and contains 11 feet statue of Lord Swaminarayan. The theatres provides with a special visual journey through the life of Swaminarayan. The musical fountains and the many halls and gardens in the temple complex are a treat for all the visitors.
